Systems
Storefronts

Storefront is a proven and successful platform. There is more
flexibility with storefront than with any other window framing
system types. There are enough fabrication, design and
performance choices to please the most discerning building
owner, architect and installer. Plus the confidence a tried and
true framing system instills. Whether the application is basic
or ornate, easy or complex, the possibilities are virtually
endless with storefront framing.
Curtainwalls

Curtain wall is a term used to describe a building facade
which does not carry any load from the building other than its
own load, and one which transfers the horizontal loads (wind
loads) that are incident upon it.
A curtain wall is designed to resist air and water infiltration,
wind forces acting on the building and seismic forces.
Curtain walls are typically designed with "stick" aluminum
members, although steel is a beautiful option. The frame is
typically infilled with glass, which provides an architecturally
pleasing building, as well as benefits such as daylighting
throughout the building.
Curtain walls differ from storefront systems in that they are
designed to span multiple floors, and take into consideration
design requirements such as: thermal expansion and
contraction; building sway and movement; water diversion;
and thermal efficiency for cost-effective heating, cooling, and
lighting in the building.
Punched Windows

Punched window gets its application term where a hole is
"punched" in the exterior wall of the building and filled with a
window. Similar to storefront, arrangement and composition
can vary greatly in its application. Punched window framing
can be fabricated and designed to fit any hole with depth of
framing designed to fit applications to fit the specified
performance criteria.
Strip Windows

Strip window gets its application term by simulating the look of
a "strip" wrapped horizontally around the building. Strip
window systems are popular in office building construction
and can be any height between typical floor slabs. They are
usually installed between panels of stone, aluminum, or
concrete. Strip windows are typically cost-effective way to
maximize daylighting without having the cost of curtain wall
systems.
